A cherished item

When I was in the sixth grade, my grandmother gave me a pure gold charm bracelet with charms from countries around the world she had traveled to. This an item I will always cherish because shortly after that my grandmother passed away. I hardly ever wear this bracelet because I cherish it so much that I don’t want to lose it or break it. I keep it in my bed side table and often find myself looking at it in memory of my grandmother. My grandmother was a world traveler and loved to share her experiences with myself and her other grandchildren. This is an item that I plan to keep for as long as I live and will one day pass on to my daughter as a way for her to learn about her great grandmother and have something special to remind her of the women in her family.
