Self-Absorption KC Zabrycki

Self-absorption is defined as being excessively self-involved or ego-centric, according to a free online dictionary. Self-absorption is often misconceived and assumed to be related to arrogance or conceitedness. In my opinion, more times than not, this assumption is false. Although, people who are too self-absorbed, to the point that they cannot maintain their personal relationships or professional responsibilities, is when this quality becomes negative. Self-absorption can be positive if used in moderation. It is extremely important to be confident in yourself and aware of your needs as well as the needs of others. Our society sees people whom are so un-self-absorbed that they become miserable and some even hate themselves. It is important for everyone to have good self-esteem and love for themselves which is what makes a moderate amount of self-absorption an essential quality for a successful life.
